Precision engineering. Thats' what it came down to in Inters emphatic win over Barca. If Mourinhos side were a car it wouild be a BMW, a Volkswagon or a Lexus. It wouldn't be the fastest or the most stylish but it would take its passengers through a blizzard or a drive across a the African continent without the slightest glitch. Ok. Maybe just one. The Barca blizzard proved too much for Inter in the 19th minute and Pedro capitalized on what was the only time that a Barca player was given space in the penalty area. From that point on Inter, preety much held the fortress as tight as a speedo. And it wasn't loing before the Inter machine, with its highly sophisticated scanners and probes, picked up an anomaly in the Barca back four. Maxwell for all his prowess going forward can harldy be relied upon to thrive in the opposite situations. For any other team he would be the 1st choice left sided midfielder. Given the options Barcelona have, he has been consigned to left back. Inter wasted no time in exploting that.

Perhaps its too late to write this. After all it's a mere 11/2 hours before kickoff and both managers would already have selected their 1st eleven. The destiny of todays tie has partially been written into history by default of that, should it of course be a fact. Should there be no substitutions due to the occurence of injuries or other external events not within the power of the manager, the first half at least would already be carved into stone, or part of billions of bits of memory space on hard drives around the world. Such is the impact in my opinion, that team selection has on the outcome of a game. And if I knew any better, I would say that the outcome at this moment or should I say this moment in view of the moments to come, would be Inter sitting on a one goal lead. And my reason for saying this is a special one.

Portland Blazers - ucatchtrout
Its starting to look like the Blazers roster is shaping up nicely for next season and some team officials have indicated they think their won't be any more personel moves before the games begin. Originally, I thought I'd begin this series with the 1 position, but with todays big news about the Brandon Roy contract I found myself thinking about him.
Other than perhaps center, the 2 is the strongest position on the Blazers.
Brandon Roy, starter
Rudy Fernandez, backup
Bayless, & Blake may play limited minutes at this position
All star Brandon Roy, recently rewarded with a five year contract worth over eighty million dollars, is the unquestioned leader of our team. If you look back at the impact Brandon has had on the Blazers one might go so far as to say that the day he was drafted was the end of the Jailblazer era. On and off the court he has been a model of what ownership and fans alike want from a player.

Fans can meet Holden and fellow Dynamo player Danny Cruz this Sunday at the adidas store in the Houston Galleria, where they’ll be signing autographs, giving away team gear and taking photos.
